How does Coptic Meet work?

Coptic Meet is a social network established for Coptic Orthodox Christians to encourage love, kind-heartedness, and equality. Coptic Meet offers a way for our users to create authentic connections centered on God with each swipe.

 

Can I search for a particular person via Coptic Meet?

Coptic Meet was created to aid you in building new connections with individuals in your area, so we do not offer the option to search for particular individuals.

What are the Filters and Advanced Filters?

Filters and Advanced Filters are a feature on Coptic Meet that helps you narrow down potential matches. 

 

Filters for age, distance, etc. are selected at the time of account creation, but can be altered at any time. After your initial preferences are selected, then Advanced Filters can be set. 

 

Everyone can set up to three Advanced Filters, however, Coptic Meet Pro subscribers may select unlimited Advanced Filters.

What is the Double Like?

Double Like allows you to let a potential match know you’re highly interested in them.

1. Tap the center heart icon on someone's profile to let them know that they captivated you. 

2. They will receive a notification that you are interested in getting to know them better.

Am I reprimanded for deleting and recreating my profile?

If you deleted and recreated multiple Coptic Meet profiles, your profile is not shown less nor 'shadowbanned.'

 

Conversely, users creating numerous accounts in a short span get fewer matches. Since users are not as likely to swipe right on a profile they have seen various times. Viewing the same profile regularly causes users to think they are undergoing technical issues or believe that your profile is spam, which results in a left swipe and negative experiences.

 

If you need a break from Coptic Meet we recommend switching off your discoverability to step away without deleting your profile entirely.

How do I delete my profile?

You may opt for a break without losing your complete account through switching off your discoverability. 

 

To delete your account, please follow these steps:

1. Tap your photo on the left-hand corner of the screen. 

2. Scroll to the bottom and click on the "Edit profile" button.

3. Scroll to the bottom and click on the “Delete Account” button.

 

Please note, like other apps, just removing, uninstalling or deleting the Coptic Meet app from your phone does not completely erase your account. You must follow the steps listed above to delete your profile. 

 

Note: If you subscribed to a paid membership you will need to opt-out with the App Store or Google Play Store to ensure you are not charged an auto-renewal subscription fee.

Why am I not getting any matches?
The more details you enter into your profile, the more opportunities you will have to discover a match on Coptic Meet. You may add up to seven photos to your profile and more photos that are higher quality to significantly raise your probability of getting right-swiped.

Why are there no more people to swipe on?

If you run out of users to swipe on you likely have several filters chosen in your Settings on Coptic Meet. Loads of filters will limit the number of users that meet your search conditions, so removing filters and broadening your search criteria, like age and distance ranges will expand conditions that show more potential matches.

 

I inadvertently signed into an incorrect phone number account. How can I switch accounts?

Log out of Coptic Meet by selecting the "Log Out" button at the bottom of the settings menu. Next, relaunch the Coptic Meet app and select "Continue with Phone number". Lastly, you will log-in to Coptic Meet using your preferred phone number account. This will permit you to launch Coptic Meet using your preferred phone number account.

How can I get a refund for my Coptic Meet Pro subscription?

As stated in our Terms and Conditions, any purchases made in the Coptic Meet app are non-refundable.

Is Google the only way I can sign up?

Not at all! If you're a new user, you can register and log in with either your Google account or phone number.

Do I have to pay for Coptic Meet or is it free?

The Coptic Meet app is free and always will be!

 

We have the optional premium feature of Coptic Meet Pro to improve your Coptic Meet user experience. Coptic Meet Pro unlocks features like, setting your location through passport mode, viewing users who have already liked and double liked your profile, as well as, setting advanced filters for potential matches.

Why can't I message someone I swiped right on?

When two users mutually right-swipe each another, a match is made. After a match is made, you will get a notification to your phone. From there, you can start messaging or continue swiping on other profiles.

 

The rules above apply to both Coptic Meet Sahbiti Sahbi and Coptic Meet Habibti Habibi.

 

I accidentally swiped left on a profile, can I undo it?

If you accidentally swiped left, you can tap the arrow on the top center of your screen. 

 

Undo is a part of Coptic Meet Pro, if you don’t already have a subscription you will be presented with options to subscribe after tapping the undo button.

 

How can I recover a deleted match?

After a match is deleted, the match cannot be recovered.

 

Why has my match or message disappeared?

If a conversation is no longer displaying, your match may have deleted their account, has been blocked on Coptic Meet or unmatched you.

My app isn't working properly, what do I do?

 

If you’re experiencing a technical issue with the app, we recommend trying these troubleshooting steps first.

1. Sign out of Coptic Meet (if you can)

2. Delete the Coptic Meet app (not your account/profile)

3. Clear your web browser's cookies and cache from your device Settings

4. Redownload the Coptic Meet app and sign back in

 

Depending on your device, to clear your cookies and cache, follow the steps below:

iPhone:

1. Go to your device Settings

2. Scroll down and tap on “Safari”

3. Scroll down and tap on “Advanced”

4. Tap on “Website Data” and select “Remove All Website Data”

 

Android:

1. Open the Chrome app

2. Tap on the three dots on the top right corner

3. Tap on “History” and select “Clear browsing data”

4. Select the time range you want to clear

5. Next to “Cookies and site data” and “Cached images and files,” check the boxes

6. Tap “Clear data”

How can I cancel my Coptic Meet Pro subscription through iTunes?

If you would like to cancel your Coptic Meet Pro subscription, follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad. Then, select the iTunes Store and App Store.

2. Tap on your Apple ID at the top of your screen and tap on View Apple ID. 

3. Tap on your Subscriptions.

4. Tap on the subscription that you want to manage. (If you don't see a subscription but are still being charged, ensure that you're signed in with the proper Apple ID.)

5. Use options to manage your subscription. You can select a different subscription, or click on "Cancel Subscription" to cancel your subscription. If you cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

How can I cancel my Coptic Meet Pro subscription through Google Play?

If you subscribed to Coptic Meet Pro through Google Play and want to cancel your subscription, follow these steps:

1. Open the Google Play store.

2. Go to "Account" under the Google Play store menu.

3. Tap on "Subscriptions" to view your active app subscriptions.

4. Tap on your Coptic Meet subscription and click "Cancel.”

How can I cancel my Coptic Meet blog subscription?

Go to your member profile at the top of the Coptic Meet website. Tap on My Subscriptions in the drop-down menu. Then, click the More Actions arrow next to your plan and tap on Cancel Subscription.

Why was I blocked from Coptic Meet?

Your profile has been blocked because you've violated our Community Guidelines. The safety of our users is our top priority, so Coptic Meet does not tolerate misuse of our platform. Coptic Meet has a zero tolerance policy for hate speech, slurs, racism, misogyny, and bullying.
